RSPB Aren't birds brilliant! Puffin and shearwater and skua 2008! In late summer and early autumn, it's the turn of the skuas and shearwaters to stage their spectacular aerial display. On the shearwater and skua cruises, you can see many species including gannets, terns, auks and gulls and we sometimes see manx and sooty shearwaters. Arctic skuas are the most common skuas seen on these trips, often in dramatic aerial chases of gulls and terns.
