Boyz II Men

The most successful R&B group of all time, American R&B vocal group Boyz II Men will be making their first ever performance in East Yorkshire as they take to the stage at The Spa Bridlington. Best known for their emotional ballads and cappella harmonies, Boyz II Men have sold more than 60 million records worldwide. Boyz II Men fans will be treated to the likes of �End of the Road� a ballad that set a new record by staying at number 1 for 13 weeks, breaking a decades old record held by Elvis Presley, as well as �I'll Make Love to You� and "One Sweet Day" (recorded with Mariah Carey), both of which exceeded records for the longest period of time a Single remained at number 1. Boyz II Men are the only artists that have stayed at the number one spot cumulatively 50 times, just fourth behind Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Mariah Carey.

Past Boyz II Men shows have dazzled fans, with those attending commenting on the incredible interaction with the audience.

Buble Fever
A tribute to Michael Buble.

Following the success of the Queen production �We Will Rock You� last year, Bridlington School�s talented students are making their debut appearance on stage at The Spa Theatre with this performance of �The Wiz�, the delightful and funny 1970�s adaptation of Frank Baum�s �The Wizard of Oz�. By popular demand, the students are presenting Dorothy, The Scarecrow, The Tin Man and The Lion as they�ve never been seen before. With mobile �phones, power dressing and munchkins with attitude, the show guarantees a journey of triumph with brains, courage and of course, a heart.

Multi Award winning stand-up television and movie star, Omid Djalili is back on tour with his brand new comedy show.

A firm favourite at the Edinburgh Festival with his legendary performances, Omid�s stand-up awards include; �Time Out Award� - for Best Stand Up, the �EMMA Award� and was �South Bank Award' nominee as well as being a �Perrier Award� nominee.

Omid was the winner of the "Best Actor" Award for his lead performance in The Infidel at the Turin Film Festival (won the previous year by Bill Murray). The Infidel also picked up a Loaded LAFTA award for "Funniest film" and Omid was short listed for "Peter Sellers Award" at the �London Evening Standard British Film Awards�.

Following the popularity of recent band concerts held in the theatre, The Spa will play host to a selection of brass, silver, wind and concert bands throughout 2012 under the umbrella of Bandstand@TheSpa.

Starting in Februaury, concerts will commence at 2.00pm with a 40 minute interval during which a cream scone tea will be served. Please note: this must be pre-booked - to book online go to 'pre show meals'.

Hepworth Band - The Village of Hepworth is situated on the edge of the Peak District. The band, formed in 1882, recently featured in a special edition of Songs of Praise performing with Lesley Garrett to mark the final episode of Last of the Summer Wine and performed for BBC Radio's Listen to the Band. The band has enjoyed notible success and has qualified in 3 of the last 5 years to represent Yorkshire at the finals of the British Brass Band Championships at the Royal Albert Hall.
