After over a decade on tour, Mercury have firmly established themselves as one of the world’s most authentic tributes to the legend that is Freddie Mercury and Queen.
The extraordinary vocal range and outstanding delivery of Joseph Lee Jackson as Freddie Mercury and the intricate guitar work of Glenn Scrimshaw as Brian May are backed by superbly crafted harmonies, a driving rhythm section and state-of-the-art, world class production. This tour in 2011, marking 20 years after the death of Freddie, will of course include fantastic performances of the most popular Queen hits from the height of their reign as well as some additional tracks from the band’s vast back catalogue. This show will captivate any audience - from die hard Queen fans through to new generations of music lovers in a way that Freddie and Queen themselves would be proud of. Mercury have well and truly earned their reputation as one of the world’s finest exponents of the music of Queen and Freddie Mercury - keeping the spirit and magic of the world’s greatest ever rock band truly alive.

Following the popularity of recent band concerts held in the theatre, The Spa will play host to a selection of brass, silver, wind and concert bands throughout 2012 under the umbrella of Bandstand@TheSpa.
Starting in Februaury, concerts will commence at 2.00pm with a 40 minute interval during which a cream scone tea will be served. Please note: this must be pre-booked Bandstand discount: book two concerts together and receive £1 off each ticket. Book three concerts together and receive £2 off each ticket. Escafeld Brass Band - The band was formed in the 1980's as a non profit organisation with the purpose of teaching and performing music to people across Sheffield and surrounding area. As a registered charity they perform at charity concerts and fundraising events throughout the year. They pride themselves on being a friendly, non-contest band playing music ranging from ballads, movie theme tunes and big band marches to more contempary classics.
