International Dawn Chorus

In conjunction
with the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust

Join us in an annual celebration of the World's oldest wake-up call. Experts will be on hand to explain what you hear. The dawn chorus occurs because as winter retreats, male songbirds sing to attract potential females, protect their territory and to warn off other males. However, as soon as it is light enough to look for food, the dawn chorus comes to a close which is why you have to be an 'early bird' to hear it. Please dress according to the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Bring binoculars. 'Breakfast in the Park' will be available from 7.00am at the Clock Tower Tea Rooms..

Spa Theatre
A triple bill evening with Routes, Altered
Equal and a performance by the East Riding Youth Dance County Company.
Routes observes crew culture and explores the effect when fatal street crime
meets the silent witness. Hype Dance Company present a story told through a
fusion of physically charged Hiphop dance and music, set to a soundtrack played
live by DJ Risco.
Altered Equal. The outsider on the inside. Different but the same, the same
but different.
