FREE TOURS AT THE SPA BRIDLINGTON 2012

The Spa Bridlington will once again be opening its doors to the public for a series of free tours in January, February and April
The tours will be starting on the hour at 11am, 12pm, 1pm & 2pm on Sunday, 15th January. 5th February, 15th April
Amongst the areas on show will be the Royal Hall, which was originally built in 1926 but had to be rebuilt in 1932 following extensive fire damage. The ceiling artwork, stained glass dome and pyramid lights are all examples of original 1930s art deco architecture. The tour will also take in the Spa Theatre, which was built in 1896. It too was destroyed by a fire and the current Edwardian building dates from 1907. History is not the only offering on the tour, with the new North Wing of the building, which was built during the £20m refurbishment in 2008, also open to the public. The North Wing is used for conferences, events and weddings and is fitted with the latest state-of-the-art technology. The Spa Café will also be open and provides lunches, snacks, cakes and refreshments. It also offers stunning views of Bridlington Bay and South Beach thanks to its floor-to-ceiling bay window.
